“Another grant of $500,000 will accelerate the momentum that has been building around the plan for the developing cultural district, Hawkins said. 

"It will pave the way for the physical changes on the horizon by ensuring a great calendar of outdoor events and programs in coming years," Hawkins said. "It will also foster deeper collaboration among the district's cultural organizations so that they can highlight the incredible cultural assets that exist in the area."

That collaboration will help make the cultural district a regional, national and even international destination, Hawkins said.”
